Imperial Riot Patrol Vehicle

What do you do when your local blind boxes are still Series 1? You make your own scout class vehicle 😂

Gundam has a line of Micro Wars vehicles, which includes this hover truck. It has an opening cockpit and comes with three oversize figures. It reminds me of the Cadillac Gage Commando APC and looks to be the perfect candidate for the Empire’s crowd control vehicle.

Imperial Riot Patrol Vehicle

Type: Light armored vehicle (repulsorlift)

Affiliation: Galactic Empire

Manufacturer: Aratech Repulsor Company

Armament: 1 top-mounted blaster cannon

Capacity: 1 driver, 1 gunner, 2-6 passengers (depending on configuration)

A typical urban pacification patrol consisting of biker scouts, a speeder, and a Riot Patrol Vehicle for holding detainees.

The RPV is an armored airspeeder used by the Empire and planetary authorities. It is primarily found in urban environments in civic patrol and crowd control duties. It was manufactured by Aratech, who also made the Imperial speeder bike used by scout troopers.

As a low-cost force multiplier, it offers greater protection and firepower than speeder bikes and open landspeeders, while being cheaper than hovertanks and Imperial troop transports.

A typical RPV carried a driver, squad leader, and 2 troopers in the cab. The back can be configured as a passenger compartment for additional troopers, a prisoner cell, or a cargo bed.

Han Solo is very familiar with the RPV, especially the back area.

“You know, this guy looks familiar…”

“Shut up and load him in the back Gary. I just wanna go home.”

Where to Buy

This hover truck is part of Gundam’s Micro Wars line of small gashapon-type vehicles. The series also includes small robots, fighters and other support vehicles. Each comes with 3 figures, all fully posable (but larger than MGS and Action Fleet figures).

It’s available on Amazon, but the hover truck itself can be hard to find. Do check out the link above so I can earn from affiliate purchases as an Amazon associate!
